How well would it go? Blue Beetle VS El Tigre
So, welcome to this new idea.
I thought to do a bit of a quick analysis of the fights suggested by either
Thor Gundersen or Friendly Neighborhood Imp, after they give an analysis of one character,
and their recommended opponent.
In this case, starting off with Thor’s first analysis
(Well, technically second, however his first one was remade due to how bad it was, and re-released 8 years later)
on El Tigre, where I’ll be taking precedence off that analysis, while I will analyze the opponent, Blue Beetle!
Okay, so this will be an interesting start,
mostly due to how complicated DC gets when it comes to scaling and statistics,
as there are several instances of one character after
another being able to match or show superiority to someone else, whether it be Superman, Green Lantern,
Wonder Woman, The Flash, whoever,
like how Batman infamously survived an explosion that knocked out Green Lantern, so with a case like this, I’m going to go over two possibilities for scaling Jamie…
assuming it will change anything.
Only considering his direct feats
Considering scaling to other characters
Outside of that, I’ll be considering just about everything else as fair game,
and we’ll go in order of what Thor has listed.
Intelligence & Skills
Using VSBW's profile as a reference, since the original respect thread doesn’t mention anything about his intelligence,
Jamie managed to trick The Reach, questioning their millenia long rule, and is said to be smarter than Batman, which is saying a lot if we take this literally.
He also learned to be able to best people with powers, even without them,
and similarly be overpowered yet win via sheer skill, which itself would likely be around Low A Tier Skill.
Powers
The Scarab
The main thing Jamie has is this thing, basically granting him a massively versatile powerset.
It’s also sentient and can attack on its own accord if Jamie is knocked out.
Small Nukes
Yeah, the Scarab has nukes… we’re just getting started and we’ve already gotten to his Overpowered capabilities.
Energy Blasters
Yeah, Jamie has some standard energy blasts to shoot out…
or, as standard as we can get without starting to scale him to the rest of DC.
Anyway, they tend to vary in size, some being about the size of his hand, others being bigger than his body.
Flight
Just in case you didn’t know, Beetles in real life can fly, so, Jamie can do that with his suit too.
Levitation
To go a step further, Jamie can make other people levitate as well.
Neutralizing Weapon
Okay, maybe that’s not what this is,
but it does seem to be a neutralizing weapon Jamie uses against panicking criminals
Cryo-Blaster
This is basically an Ice Gun, capable of shooting freezing attacks at targets.
Neural Scramblers
A more deadly attack than the last one, this would imply it’s capable of scrambling the neurons in one’s body
and brain.
He actually used this again to stop a Sinestro Ring controlled Peacemaker.
Power Absorption Resistance
This is a bit of a specific ability, but when OMAC was taking the powers of other characters like Wonder Woman,
when it tried to take the Scarab, it backfired and seemingly hacked into his body so Jamie could finish him off.
Different Armor Variations
Akin to Deoxys, Jamie’s suit can switch between different modes to increase strength and speed.
Non-Physical Interaction
Give the suit a bit of time, and it can hit enemies that are intangible to normal physical strikes with its blasters.
Beetle Drones
To attack on multiple angles, Jamie can shoot out tiny beetle drones,
though I’m not how powerful they are in comparison.
Large Hadron Accelerator
This made a brief appearance, so we don’t know what it does other than fatal damage,
though in our world, Large Hadron Colliders were used to cause particles to collide at high speeds,
and could’ve theoretically created a Black Hole, though that might be a stretch.
Strong-Force Disruptor
This made a brief appearance, so we don’t know what it does other than fatal damage,
though it’s possible it could be a brutal soundwave attack to disassemble objects.
Implicate-Order Annihilation Field
This made a brief appearance, so we don’t know what it does other than fatal damage and theological implications,
implying it would be an attack comparable to those of gods.
Electricity Manipulation
Jamie is capable of producing electricity akin to an actual Taser to knock out a machine.
Magnetism Manipulation
This is a force field of magnets to repel metal substances.
Energy Draining
Jamie is capable of draining Livewire’s energy, and likely can do the same to others.
He can do this to a World Ripper too, implying planet busting energy,
though he does seem to struggle with this, likely making it his limit.
Force Field
While it’s likely he could use it for defense,
this seemed to be a minor form of sealing to prevent Bombshell from moving her hands any further,
sort of like handcuffs.
Vibration Resistance
Oh hey, he did use a forcefield in that vein.
Anyway, this could also be a form of intangibility prevention,
but when Reverse Flash tried to phase through his shield, it just… didn’t work.
Countermeasures
The Scarab generally seems to be a lethal weapon,
about to attack under any form of aggression kind of akin to a darker spider sense.
Speaking of senses…
Super Senses
The Scarab can grant him greater senses,
like tracking a distant license plate and even finding the Phantom Stranger
Magic Disruption
This could also serve as a form to decrease stats,
but Jamie seems to counteract and dispose of the growing magic of Eclipso, the god of wrath.
Hacking
While Jamie is busy, the Scarab was capable of hacking into the Reach’s ship.
He also did this to all the ATM machines in a bank. …Whoops.
Kryptonite Radiation
Yep, Jamie has Kryptonite… probably something else a little too specific,
just felt like I had to mention it to be honest.
Clothing Manipulation
…Okay, The Scarab can just do that.
Dimensional Travel
“Your little ‘anomaly’ just pulled an entire world-ripper station from n-space into three dimensions!!”
…Yeah, Jamie can take giant ships to other dimensions… DC gets weird yo.
Tachyons
Those aren’t just light-based attacks, they’re ways to prevent Time-Travelling.
Resurrection
The Scarab managed to kill Jamie and bring him back to life like a defibrillator.
Telepathy Resistance
…You think part of it is due to the Scarab?
Feats
Speed
Seemingly appears within the Equator, Siberia and Australia at the same time
The locations specifically seem to be Goiânia, State of Goiás, Brazil,
The ship seems to travel from a singular planet to a binary star system.
Using context clues from the comic itself, it's said that it's reach would extend across the universe,
For comparison, Green Lanterns can cross the universe in 10 hours,
Can possibly shoot Light Based attacks with Tachyons and Hadron Accelerators
Strength
Caught a Jeep
Can possibly create a Black Hole with the Large Hadron Accelerator
Has a small Nuke, which would be 10 to 1000 Tons of TNT
Has a weapon that can tear Earth to Cinders (2.487e+32 Joules/59.4 Zettatons)
Durability
Is Bulletproof
Weaknesses
Just in case you couldn’t tell from the previous scans,
there are a lot of instances of Jamie and the Scarab not getting along very well,
with the latter usually trying to go straight for a lethal option, compared to the more merciful Jamie.
It also originally was really painful to dispel the armor, but he’s gotten used to it.
Without the armor, he’s a pretty normal human, much like his opponent.
Oh, and his movie was a flop.

Lacking without the Scarab
Comparison
So, starting off with primary stats first, Manny has a clear cut edge in Strength and Durability.
Just considering Jamie’s direct feats, he would only reach around baseline Planet Level at 59.7 Zettatons,
while Manny scales above El Tarantula plucking the moon out of the sky at 8 Ronnatons of TNT,
which alone is 134680.135 times more powerful,
and that isn’t even considering how far he scales above that feat,
nor the buff the Ancient Tiger Spirit gives him, meaning Manny could pretty easily one shot Jamie.
On top of that, Manny has superior resurrection, as while both came back from death,
The Scarab was capable of reviving Jamie via electric shock, similar to a defibrillator,
while Manny came back from seemingly nothing at all,
meaning Jamie will have to get pretty creative in order to finish Manny and his Low-Godly Regeneration off.
On the other hand, Jamie has a clear advantage in speed.
Even using a lower end of traversing across the globe in too fast of a time for cameras to keep pace with,
that would still be about 17 times faster than Manny, which combined with his ability to fly,
would give him far greater mobility.
This is even more helpful, given how Jamie is much more of a ranged fighter than Manny is,
meaning he can easily keep a distance. Not even Manny’s super senses would be very helpful,
since they’re just as if not less potent than Jamie’s own,
and he’d have to fend off against a ton of angles thanks to Jamie’s beetle drones too.
On the topic of other secondary stats, Intelligence and Skill is actually pretty tough to decide on,
though I’d probably lean towards Blue Beetle for Intellect,
being able to best a civilization that is implied to destroy or invade various planets,
compared to El Tigre only conquering one,
but I’d give Manny the point in skill, being able to quickly learn and adapt other fighting styles to his own.
That said, these two are pretty comparable in both aspects, so I don’t think it’s too big of a factor.
Lastly, we get to abilities, and Jamie already has the edge in versatility and long range,
but outside of that, he has a ton of options that counter Manny’s own, and in turn he has no way to counter back.
His magnetism manipulation can prevent Manny’s likely metal claws
and chains from hitting him by just redirecting him, even if they can penetrate his shield,
and Manny has no way to come back from being frozen or being sent to another dimension.
The biggest issue however would be the Ancient Tiger Spirit, which even if Manny does die,
he can come back regardless of just what Jamie can do, so is there any way for Blue Beetle to bypass that…
honestly, I think so.
Keep in mind, the Ancient Tiger Spirit is where Manny gets all his abilities, and without it he’s relatively weak,
and is possibly magical in nature. Jamie being capable of disrupting magic,
would mean that he could render the belt powerless, meaning all of Manny’s abilities,
including his resurrection, would be completely gone, basically leaving him helpless,
though unless out of character, Jamie would probably leave him in this state, rather than kill him.
El Tigre
Advantages
Stronger
Tougher
Arguably More Skilled
Comparable Intelligence
Superior Resurrection
Disadvantages
Slower
Worse Range
Less Versatile
No counter to being frozen or sent to another dimension
Magic Disruption can arguably disrupt the Tigre Belt’s power
Blue Beetle
Advantages
Faster
Greater Range
Comparable Skill
Arguably More Intelligent
Higher Versatility
Beetle Drones increase numbers and put more pressure on Manny
Freezing and Dimensional Travel can end the fight quickly
Magic Disruption can arguably weaken Manny significantly
Disadvantages
Weaker
Less Durable
Worse Resurrection
Ultimately, while it’s possible Manny can win, as just one shot from him would likely destroy Jamie,
that alone is likely not going to be enough, as he has several methods to deflect the attacks,
more than the speed necessary to dodge, can keep a greater distance and play it safe with his blasters,
flight and beetle drones, ways to bypass his greater durability like dimensional BFR and freezing,
and even if the Ancient Tiger Spirit becomes an issue, Jamie could just disable the magic within it.
All that, and I haven’t even covered scaling,
where he matched Guy Gardner and survived an attack from Lobo,
both of which were capable of fighting on par with Superman… yeah, a bit out of Manny’s league.
The winner is Blue Beetle.
